The Triangle Fiber Guild informs and inspires knitters and crocheters in the Raleigh region through educational, service, and social opportunities. The Association of Traditional Hooking Artists (ATHA) is an international fellowship of fiber artists that fosters individuality in rug hooking. The Piedmont Rug Hookers Chapter of ATHA was formed in Piedmont North Carolina area as a non profit guild devoted to the education and promotion of the fiber art of traditional rug hooking. Our program offerings include speakers, demonstrations, group project workshops, rug hooking retreats, and sharing our love of the traditional art of rug hooking. Sir Walter’s Lacers is an informal group that meets at the Mordecai Visitor Center on the first Tuesday of each month from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Sir Walter’s Lacers is affiliated to the North Carolina Regional Lacers which is a Charter Chapter of the International Organization of Lace, Inc.. We welcome anyone interested in learning to make Bobbin Lace to join us on any first Tuesday of the month. We will be demonstrating Bobbin Lace on both days of the Fiber Fest. There will be lace pillows set up so visitors can try their hand at this beautiful art.

Twisted Threads Fiber Arts Guild encompasses all aspects of fiber arts and seeks to provide fiber artists with education and communication to advance the quality of workmanship and creativity in their fiber endeavors. The Guild meets several times each month to discuss, share, educate, laugh, and eat as members ply their crafts. Meeting Dates & Times: The primary meeting is the third Thursday of every month except December, 7-10 PM, at NC State University Crafts Center. All crafts are welcome, but this is the only meeting where there is always room for wheels. It also includes the guild’s monthly business meeting. Visitors and non-members are always welcome. Our other regular meeting is on the second Saturday of most months. It takes place in members’ homes and we try to schedule it around our membership area so that everyone has a few meetings that are close to home.
