It takes many hands to run a large fiber festival and we depend on volunteers to help us! There are many volunteer opportunities.  If you are interested in being a part of this exciting and growing event, keep reading! 

The 2026 Carolina FiberFest is on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14. Volunteers are needed on Thursday through Saturday with most shifts between 3 to 4 hours long.

General Help

Help is needed ahead of the festival, during the Festival and to help with take-down:

•  Set up–Wednesday and Thursday are our set up days and mostly includes physical labor, such as moving boxes and tables, running errands and helping incoming vendors.
• Festival hours–help to assist vendors needing breaks, run errands, and support staffing. During the workshops on Wednesday-Saturday volunteers are needed to assist the instructors.
• Take-down–assist to pack up booths and common areas. 

Greeters and Hospitality

Be a friendly, welcoming and helpful contact at the Festival!  Assist in directing customers and students to their destinations. Provide respite for vendors.

Merchandise Sales

Retail sales are necessary to help support our Festival!  Help set up shelving units, stock and organize merchandise, take payments and box up remaining items at the conclusion of the Festival.

Fleece Show and Used Equipment

Oversee entries and stock, take payments and manage inventory. There is a special need for knowledgeable people to assist customers wanting to purchase fleece.
